I would like to thank the members of the Kane VFD, EMT’s, coaches, teammates and everyone else for helping to save my life on Monday at the Kane football field. Without everyone’s quick response, the doctors at both UPMC of Erie and Pittsburgh stated that only 10 percent of those that have this condition ever survive such a thing. For this I am very grateful to be alive and no words could ever express my gratitude. These guys that were chosen to be my teammates and coaches turned out to now be my life saving heroes.
When we played all these other AML teams this past season we were rivals on the field. This week while practicing in Brockway and Kane, I felt like I was not only representing Bradford but was part of the AML Community. I feel my former rivals were right next to me sweating, joking and working together as a team. These rivals are now my friends.
The support, encouragement and mostly your constant prayers are beyond what anyone could ever imagine. I want to let everyone know that I am expected to make a full recovery and will be out of the hospital soon back to my normal life.
Again, thank you for the outpouring of support and prayers and please know that my family and I are very grateful for your services.
One last thing I want to apologize for my conduct in the ambulance. Even though I don’t remember it, I was informed that I may have been a little unruly. Sorry about that, I do not usually act that way. (LOL!!!!!)
Sincerely,
Isaac Gralak
