SMETHPORT — The Kinzua Country Indivisible group will sponsor a “Families Belong Together Candlelight Vigil and Rally” in support of fair treatment of migrating families at the Texas border.
The vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKean County Courthouse in Smethport.
Organizers explained the event is primarily a humanitarian response, rather than a political response, to the events in Texas and is open to anyone who has concern for the families.
Those who are planning on attending the event are asked to bring their own candle. Cell phone lights can also be used.
