For the second year, downtown Bradford will join with the rest of the world in Make Music — a global celebration of music to be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 21.
Main Street will close from Kennedy Street to Congress Street beginning at 4 p.m. to allow for setup.
Four stage areas will host live performances throughout the night, including performances by Marshmellow Overcoat, Twin Tiers Concert Band, the Crook Farm Country Band, the Warren Music Conservatory Jazz and Rock Band, Crown and more.
The festival will also include opportunities for hands-on musical activities and demonstrations, including a guitar demonstration by Tyler Caulkins, drum and ukulele circles, a classical guitar demonstration by Dr. David Myslewski, a trombone quartet, bagpipe performance and a musical instrument “petting zoo” for children.
Children will also be able to get a hands-on feel for instrument structure and musical capabilities. An elementary music teacher from George G. Blaisdell Elementary School organized the acquisition of multiple the instruments.
Food will also be a feature of the festival with a central food court. There will be a Chinese auction with prizes drawn at 9 p.m.
A booth will be located in front of PNC Bank to provide festival-goers with event information.
Brochures outlining the night’s performances, along with a map, will be available at Wright’s Music Shed and other downtown locations, starting June 18.
