EMPORIUM — Criminal charges have been filed against an Emporium who allegedly attacked someone with garden shears and made threatening statements.
According to Emporium-based state police, on May 26, Ian M. Williams, 30, of Emporium, attacked the unnamed person with shears and said he was going to kill him and burn down his house. Williams allegedly damaged a vehicle after throwing a folding table.
Police did not say what injuries, if any the alleged victim suffered.
Williams is charged with terroristic threats; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, the online case docket states.
According to the docket, the alleged assault occurred in Grove Township.
The docket does not indicate that Williams has been arraigned yet. A preliminary hearing is set for July 26.
