ScienceTellers will be visiting three libraries in McKean County on Friday and Saturday.
The 45 minute program is intended for children from kindergarten through 5th grade.
The ScienceTellers will start off at 6 p.m. Friday at Hamlin Memorial Library in Smethport; at 1 p.m. Saturday at SW Smith Memorial Library in Port Allegany; and at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bradford Area Public Library.
The program is free and open to the public.
The ScienceTellers “Wild West: The Mystery of the Golden Piano” will bring the Wild West to McKean County through this program that combines science and storytelling. Grab your spurs and journey to the Wild West with the ScienceTellers on an action-packed adventure to foil a great bank robbery. Runaway trains, escapes from abandoned mines, and a mysterious piano are all part of this rollicking combination of storytelling and science. Volunteers from the audience will help explore the fascinating science behind chemical reactions, combustion, air pressure, inertia, and more.
