ERIE — Two men have pleaded guilty to allegations that they possessed contraband while they were inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution-McKean in Lafayette Township.
According to U.S. Attorney Scott Brady, the men — Francisco Uresti, 43, and Jarrod William Burrell, 40 — each pleaded guilty to one charge of possession of contraband in prison.
Both men were sentenced before U.S. District Judge David Cercone.
Burrell, who was accused of possessing marijuana on Aug. 29, will serve three months of incarceration, said Brady. Meanwhile, Uresti, who was accused of possessing marijuana two days after Burrell on Aug. 31, will serve two months of incarceration.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian Trabold prosecuted both cases on behalf of the government.
Officers from FCI-McKean conducted the investigation that led to charges against both defendants, said Brady.
