SMETHPORT — A Bradford man who was accused of illegally possessing a firearm and driving a vehicle into a fence, house and another vehicle pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court.
Joseph R. McBride, 42, pleaded guilty in one case to charges of possession of firearm prohibited and receiving stolen property and in the second to charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and a summary charge.
District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said that on Feb. 9 in Bradford City, McBride, who is not allowed to possess firearms due to a prior drug conviction, possessed one; it was unloaded and had no ammunition. On Jan. 8, McBride, while operating a vehicle without consent from the owner or with a valid license, drove through a fence, hitting a home at 78 State St., Bradford, and hitting another vehicle; he failed to stay at the scene, she said.
He will be sentenced May 31.
Also in court, Herbert H. Leininger, 60, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. On July 5, 2016, in Bradford City, Leininger delivered 10 dihydrocodeinone pills, Shaffer said. He will be sentenced June 14.
Angelo Mininni, 48, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of terroristic threats. Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade said that on Feb. 28, Mininni threatened to kill a woman with a knife. He will be sentenced June 14.
Skyler S. Smith, 27, of Bradford, and Vanessa A. Harvey, 21, of Bradford, each pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. On March 12, the pair engaged in a mutual consent fight, according to Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill. Both will be sentenced June 14.
Carol A. Miller, 43, of Bradford, pleaded no contest to a charge of retail theft. Grill said that on July 2, Miller took $67.42 worth of merchandise from Walmart. She will serve one year of probation.
Robert D. Reed, 52, will serve one year of probation and pay $47.68 in restitution for a charge of retail theft.
Danielle M. Eidson, 30, of Limestone, N.Y., pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft. On Dec. 2, Eidson took hot fudge coffee and coffee creamer from Tops Supermarket worth $19.36, said Grill. She will serve one year of probation and pay $19.36 in restitution.
Daniel W. Brecht, 44, of East Smethport, pleaded no contest to summary charge of harassment. He will pay a fine of $150 and court costs.
The following people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program: Jackie L. Mickle, 45, of Bradford, for unlawful dissemination of an intimate image; Samantha L. Swanson, 20, of Salamanca, N.Y., for DUI-controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; Wesley R. Clark, 19, of Lewis Run, and Yolanda Colts, 39, of Bradford, both for DUI-alcohol; and Ryan J. Craig, 31, of North Huntingdon, for possession of drug paraphernalia.
