The deadline to apply to have a garden or lawn considered for the 2018 Bradford Garden Tour has been extended until June 15.
“This extension will allow those who were put behind schedule by our spring weather a chance to get their spaces started,” said local master gardener and Garden Tour committee member Bob Harris. “We’ve seen a variety of garden types apply for the tour, so if you are on the fence about applying, send in an application anyway. We aren’t just looking for perfect, weed-less gardens, we love unique elements and characteristics.”
The Bradford Garden Tour will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. July 29. Ten finalist gardens will be featured on the tour, and will be eligible to win either a “Best in Show” award or a “People’s Choice” award. Awards will be presented at the Garden Gala, taking place at Graham’s Greenhouse and Landscaping from 7 to 9 p.m. on the same night. Garden Tour applications are available at Graham’s Greenhouse and Landscaping, Bella Capelli Salon, Northwest Bank on Main Street, Proper’s Florist, and online at the Bradford Garden Tour Facebook Page. Deadline to apply is June 15.
