AUSTIN –– Individuals will be able to get an up close and personal view of nesting eagles, turtles and other wildlife this weekend at Sinnemahoning State Park.
An eagle nest watch will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wildlife Viewing Area. Volunteers will be available to answer questions about bald eagles and assist with locating and viewing the nest.
On Sunday, park staff will hold an informative one-hour pontoon boat tour of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir to search for mergansers, eagles, turtles and other wildlife while learning about the history and ecology of the reservoir.
The free pontoon tours start at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m.
