KANE — The Bradford girls track team ended its regular season with a 95-45 victory over Kane on Friday to finish the year with a record of 6-1.
Ashton McGriff and Hannah Lary both recorded doubles for the Lady Owls: McGriff earned wins in the 200, 300 hurdles, triple jump, and 1600 relay, while Lary won in the 800, 1600, 3200, and 3200 relay.
Earning triples were Emily Bosworth (400, 3200 relay, 1600 relay) and Regan Johnson (100, long jump, 400 relay), Logan Sunafrank doubles in the 400 relay and 3200 relay.
Alexandra Safran added a win in the 100 hurdles
“This was a nice team effort on a gray May afternoon,” BHS coach Larry Stillman said. “I asked them to take care of business and get a solid meet in before Districts and they did that.
“Hannah Lary had a great day with the distance runner quad, which is very rare, topped off by her excellent 800 race which she won by a stride.
“Our 4×400 relay team had an outstanding race with a top five all-time race: Erica, Mikah, Emily, and Ashton really put together a great race to end the meet.
“Kane’s throwers were very good as always but our overall depth carried us through.”
Trinity Clark tripled for Kane with wins in the shot put, discus, and javelin, while Audri Marconi won the high jump.
“We are looking forward to a good week of work to prepare for Districts next Friday at Brookville,” Stillman said.
