KANE — Jaron Ambrose and Nate Blauser each took four first places to lead the Owls to their fourth consecutive undefeated season (9-0) with a 112.5-37.5 victory over Kane on Friday.
Ambrose won the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, and 400 relay for his quartet of wins while Blauser won the 800, triple jump, and ran legs on the 3200 and 1600 relays.
Donny Pattison had a triple, taking the 100, 200, and a leg on the winning 400 relay.
Mike Bosworth had two firsts running legs on the 400 and 1600 relays and two second places in the 100 and 400.
John Eakin won the shot put with a good throw of 58-1. Both Steve Kellam and Derek Sunafrank pole vaulted 12 feet. Kellam also won the long jump while Sunafrank ran an impressive 53.9 leg in the 1600 relay. He also placed second in the javelin and took third in the 400.
Ryan Whittemore won the javelin and had a personal best in the discus for second place. Logan Caruso won the 1600 and was second in the 800. Tyler Kraft ran on both the 3200 and 1600 relays and was also third in the 800.
Also placing first were Cade Hayden and David Allen (3200 relay) and Jake Pattison (400 relay). Josh Mackey had a personal best in the shot put and threw over 100’ in the discus for the third straight meet.
Steven Knowlton was second in the long jump and triple jump. Kyle Stewart placed in the 200 and Gavin McGee (long jump, triple jump) and Gabe Mitchell (3200) also placed. Dylan Phillips placed in both hurdle events.
“All in all it was a pretty good outing,” Bradford coach Tom Tessena said. “We have a few things to straighten out for Districts next Friday. We still have time if we use it next week.
“We had some good improvement in our times and distances that should help us in the seedings. I think Coach Kelley and Coach Cercone have done a good job this year in bringing our guys along. Coach Stillman and Coach Teribery have been making good progress as well with the guys.
“Our seniors have never lost a dual meet but the crown jewel of every season is Districts and that is always the target for Bradford track and field.”
