SMETHPORT — Two Bradford men pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to charges related to a firearm that was reported stolen in February in Bradford City.
Jacob L. Miller, 21, entered a plea to a charge of possession of a firearm prohibited and will be sentenced May 17, while Kody M. Mountain, 21, entered the plea to a charge of conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and will be sentenced May 31
Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade said Mountain was entering the plead to allegations that on Feb. 6 he conspired with Miller to steal a firearm, and Miller was pleading guilty to allegations that on the same day he possessed a firearm, even though he was prohibited from doing so.
Also in court, Holly L. Major, 33, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges in three cases. In one she was charged with criminal trespassing, in a second she was charged with inhaling toxic releasing substances and in the third she was charged with conspiracy to commit retail theft. Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill said that on Nov. 26, Major inhaled compressed air fumes; on Jan. 10, she agreed with Cristy Curtis to commit retail theft; and on Jan. 21, she entered 115 Kennedy St., Bradford, without permission. She will be sentenced May 31.
Cristy D. Curtis, 39, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges of retail theft and criminal mischief. Grill said that on Jan. 10 Curtis took $475 in merchandise from the Washington Street Outlet, and she tampered with a glass display case there, causing $800 in damage. She will be sentenced May 31.
Bonnie L. Eschrich, 37, of Kane, pleaded guilty to charges of forgery and tampering with records. According to Grill, on June 27, Eschrich forged a prescription and falsified writing with the intent to deceive. She will be sentenced May 31.
Joshua Goodmote-Miller, 21, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. On June 3, after Miller was in a fight with another male, he struck the male — who was on the ground — in the head, causing a fracture and lacerations, Shade said. He will be sentenced June 7.
Yvonne L. McClellan, 31, of Mount Jewett, had a burglary case against her dismissed. Back in March, charges against her co-defendant in the case were also dropped.
Michael C. Cagney, 25, of Silver Creek, N.Y., pleaded guilty to a charge of access device fraud. District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said that on between Sept. 11 and Oct. 20, Cagney used his grandmother’s Discover credit card to make $1,973.43 in purchases at several locations. He will be sentenced May 31.
Shane W. Kroah, 18, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of terroristic threats. On Feb. 28, Kroah sent a message through Facebook messenger to a juvenile male saying he was going to kill the juvenile; he also sent an emoji of a gun, Shade said. He will be sentenced May 31.
Isaac D. Hilyer, 22, of Eldred, pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property. On July 1, Hilyer received $372 worth of items belonging to another person, according to Shade. He will be sentenced June 14.
Kenneth R.F. Bell, 21, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of two marijuana pipes. He will be sentenced May 17.
Accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program were Richard A. Green, 60, of Eldred, for DUI-controlled substance; Kaitlyn L. Collins, 24, of Smethport, for DUI-alcohol; and Noah S. Severino, 20, of Erie, for possession of marijuana and and drug paraphernalia.
