MOTHER’S DAY: Bradford poet Donald Neal shared a poem for Mother’s Day, which is coming up this Sunday.
“Mother’s Day”
Who do you turn to when you need advice?
Who has all the patience and care?
You can always ask your Mother,
She will always be there.
Her love she will show in many way,
And that love will always be.
She works to make a happy home,
For her husband and family.
She knows what the future will bring,
She teaches you how to do things right.
She worries about you every day,
And prays for your safety every night.
She is there when as a child you skin your knee,
More important is the love she shows.
She can answer all your questions about life,
Where her knowledge comes from nobody knows.
She will tell you what life is all about,
And how to achieve happiness and peace.
She will show her love in many ways,
And that love will never cease.
When you have grown and have your own family,
And you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Show your love and devotion,
When they celebrate Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day comes but once each year,
But should be celebrated all year long.
They gave you life, love, happiness,
In your heart they will always belong.
