Charges against a Bradford man accused of operating a methamphetamine lab with his girlfriend were bound to McKean County Court Wednesday.
Terry E. Sorensen, 41, appeared for a preliminary hearing that day before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Sorensen is charged with manufacturing/possession with intent to deliver meth, possessing precursors, operating a meth lab and conspiring to do all three charges, all felonies; risking a catastrophe, a third-degree felony; 35 counts of possession of meth, misdemeanors; and five counts of recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors.
According to court records, between Jan. 1 and March 27, he and Teresa Y. Doner, 45, were operating a meth lab at 79 South Ave.
There were other people living in their apartment, and another family in an apartment above it, officers noted at the time of their arrest.
While executing a search warrant at the apartment, law enforcement officials reported seizing items including “five plastic bottles containing white solids which is known as a ‘one pot shake and bake method,’ six gas generators with lithium stripping, 89 pseudoephedrine pills in blister packs, instant cold packs, camp fuels, acetone, denatured alcohol and salts,” court records stated.
Police said Doner and Sorensen worked as a team to obtain the materials to manufacture meth, both for their own habits and for sale, according to the complaints.
Sorensen remains incarcerated in McKean County in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Doner, who is facing similar charges, waived a preliminary hearing April 25. She is scheduled to appear July 12 in McKean County Court for a last day to plea conference.
Doner was initially incarcerated on $75,000 bail, but she has since been released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
