The Bradford girls track team sent its senior class out on a high note on Tuesday with a 90-60 victory over Punxsutawney on Senior Night.

Ashton McGriff earned a quadruple with wins in the 200, 300 hurdles, triple jump, and 1600 relay, which she ran with Emily Bosworth, Mikah Watkins, and Erica Marshall.

Bosworth notched a triple, adding wins in the 400 and 800 to her ‘W’ in the 1600 relay. Regan Johnson also netted a triple with wins in the 100, long jump, and 400 relay along with Logan Sunafrank, Alexis Huber, and Erica Marshall.

Hannah Lary, meanwhile, had a double with wins in the 1600 and 3200.

“This was a nice win to celebrate Senior Night,” Bradford coach Larry Stillman said. “We had many fine performances.

“I thought the highlight was the last throw in the shot put when senior Abby Coffman threw the shot put 36-1 bettering her best career throw by two feet. Abby, Sophia Oliver (discus) and Lydia Pompa (javelin) all had their best overall night throwing this season.

“Ashton closed out her home meet career with a quad and her second fastest 300 hurdle race of of her career. Our young sprinters Regan, Erica, and Mikah had very good nights.

“In the middle distances freshmen Emily Bosworth and Hannah Lary dominated with Emily just missing breaking 60 flat in the 400.

“In the jumps Mikayla Bond looked good in the high jump and LexI Brown and freshman Kayelyn Eschrich showed solid improvement in the long and triple jump. Our vaulters  Alexis Huber and Mackenzie Lucas were solid at eight feet.

“We would like to wish all our seniors — Alexis Brown, Abby Coffman, Destinee Deitz, Jessica Hannon, Taylar Mager, Ashton McGriff, Sophia Oliver, Hannah Ruttan and Logan Sunfrank — all the best in the years to come and we thank them for all they have done for our program,” Stillman added.

The Lady Owls (5-1) will be at Kane on Friday.
