SMETHPORT — The Falcons allowed a hit to the leadoff batter on Tuesday. It would be the only base hit of the day for Smethport, as Coudy rolled to a five-inning, 13-0 victory over Smethport thanks to a great start from Josh Stevens.
Stevens worked four innings and allowed just one hit (a single by Noah Costa) while striking out five and walking one. Elliot Hite closed things out in the fifth to seal the Coudersport victory.
Owen Chambers went 3-for-4 at the plate for Coudy. All 10 base hits for Coudersport were singles.
Smethport’s Nate Hollowell, Orion Alexis, Matt Stratton, and Parker Shonts combined for six strikeouts, eight walks, and 10 hits.
Smethport (1-8) will host Cameron County on Thursday.
