A service of Evensong will be celebrated with the public beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension at 26 Chautauqua Place in Bradford.
The 30-minute traditional sung worship service will commemorate the Feast of the Ascension, the church’s namesake feast and will include a performance by the Keynote Chorus.
The chorus was founded in 1987 and is a singing group composed of professional and non-professional musicians from the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. The chorus will also offer a 30-minute concert of sacred music to conclude the service.
The church will host a silver tea reception following the service and concert. The service, concert and reception are offered free of charge and are open to the public.
