SMETHPORT — The McKean County master gardeners will be hosting a mushroom workshop on May 5.
The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Donald J. Comes Learning Center in Smethport. It is free and open to the public.
Participants will learn how to plant and grow oyster and shiitake mushrooms in logs. All supplies will be provided. Participants will receive a log and sawdust spawn. To register visit: https://extension.psu.edu/mushroom-workshop or call: 877-345-0691.
