Charges against a man accused of raping a woman in her Bradford apartment were bound to McKean County Court Wednesday in a hearing before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Dustin L. Jackson, 29, is charged with rape by forcible compulsion, a first-degree felony; aggravated indecent assault, a second-degree felony; and indecent assault, a second-degree misdemeanor, as well as an additional charge that was just added, sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
According to the criminal complaint, at 5 p.m. June 2, a 31-year-old woman who met Jackson online agreed to meet him at Dairy Queen for ice cream. After, the pair went to her apartment, where they talked about cleaning. Jackson allegedly began to kiss and touch her, and she told him kissing and touching was not cleaning.
He allegedly lowered his pants and underwear and tried to get her to give him oral sex, the criminal complaint stated. She was able to pull his pants back up, and he “apologized and ‘said all the right things’ to get her to let him stay.”
She took medication to calm herself down, and, once she was calm, he allegedly began to touch her again. She started to get up from her chair and walk away; he pushed her, and she landed on the couch, court records indicated.
The criminal complaint stated he then raped her. She texted a neighbor to make the defendant leave, the complaint alleged.
Jackson is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
