Charges in two criminal cases against a Bradford man were bound to McKean County Court Wednesday at a hearing before District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Artter Hubbart Jr., 49, is charged in one case with unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, a second-degree misdemeanor; and in the second case with resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
According to court records, on March 15, while a woman was at the Bradford City Police Station filling out a statement for a separate offense involving Hubbart, he posted a photograph of her bare buttocks on Facebook and attached her mother to the post. By attaching her mother’s name to the post, all of her mother’s Facebook friends could see the image.
This caused the woman “immense distress,” court records stated.
Then, on March 17, a police officer told Hubbart that he was going to arrest him on a warrant, and Hubbart pulled away and said, “Hell no,” court records stated. He allegedly began running north on Congress Street, leading the officer on a foot chase, and failed to comply with requests that he stop running.
The officer had to use a Taser on Hubbart to arrest him. Once he was in custody, police found out that Hubbart possessed a crack cocaine pipe, too, the criminal complaint stated.
He is in McKean County Jail in lieu of a total of $7,500 for the two cases.
