SMETHPORT — An Erie man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to allegations that he sold crack cocaine.
Alexander J. Hayes, 24, entered a guilty plea to charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.
According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, on March 23, 2017, Hayes used a communication facility to set up a drug delivery, then he delivered .76 grams of crack cocaine while under the supervision of the McKean County Drug Task Force.
He will be sentenced March 22.
Matthew J. Calloway, 31, of Kane, pleaded guilty to a charge of person not to possess firearms. On March 20, 2017, Calloway possessed a loaded gun, even though he is not allowed to because of a delinquency adjudication for burglary, said Shaffer. He will be sentenced April 5.
Shawn M. Howard, 43, of Bradford, will serve nine months to two years in state prison with credit for 102 days of time served and one year of probation for charges in two cases. He will also pay $690 in restitution. He’s charged in one case with theft by unlawful taking and criminal trespassing and in the second case with theft by unlawful taking. Howard pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to allegations that on July 16, he took equipment worth $6,244.12 from a Pithole Road, Cyclone, property; then, on July 23, he stole $40 from someone.
Gregory D. Dehaven, 34, of Bradford, will serve eight months to two years in state prison with credit for 115 days of time served and pay $700 in restitution for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. On Jan. 25, Dehaven pleaded guilty to allegations that on Nov. 3, he withdrew $700 from an ATM using someone else’s access card.
Eric Culver, 33, of Port Allegany, will serve 10 days to 15 months in McKean County Jail with credit for one day of time serve for a charge of recklessly endangering another person and a summary charge.
Court records filed at the time Culver was first arrested indicated that on April 8, he allegedly pushed a man out of his vehicle, then ran over him.
Taylor N. O’Neil, 27, of Mount Jewett, will serve three days to one year in McKean County Jail and pay $414 in restitution for a charge of theft by unlawful taking.
O’Neil pleaded guilty Jan. 25 to allegations that on Aug. 29, she took cash and a blank check for a total of $500.
James K. Clyde Jr., 54, of Ridley Park, will served six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI and summary charges.
