A heating system failure at the Otto-Eldred High School didn’t disrupt classes Wednesday.
Superintendent Matthew Splain reported that the system had to be shut down during the afternoon.
“Luckily the favorable weather helped prevent any discomfort inside the building,” he said. “At no time was there a safety concern in the building. Classes were held as normal through the rest of the day.”
School officials are working with National Fuel and a local contractor to solve the problem, Splain said.
“We hope to be up and running as normal as soon as possible. Parents will be notified through our School Messenger system if any change in our normal schedule is necessary,” he said.
