Business is continuing to boom in Foster Township.
Leens Diner and Leisure Time Powersports are slated to open at The Shops at Foster Brook along Foster Brook Boulevard.
Work is underway on Leisure Time to occupy the former Fashion Bug space. Leens Diner will be located inside the former RadioShack.
“We’re very excited to have Leisure Time within the center as they will add a new dynamic from your typical soft goods retailers,” said Blake Shaffer, retail sales and leasing with Bennett Williams Retail, which manages the plaza property. “This was a deal that was over six months in the making so we are very excited to see it come to fruition, and wish the Leisure Time nothing but success.”
Leisure Time Powersports, which has a location in Limestone, N.Y., allows individuals to find, maintain and customize their motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, side-by-sides and more.
Information on Leens Diner was not immediately available. Property owner Todd Vinelli declined to provide information to The Era.
Vinelli has owned The Shops at Foster Brook for more than a year, and in that time the plaza has found several new tenants. Cricket Wireless moved into the former Subway location, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car relocated from Kendall Avenue into a spot formerly occupied by Tina’s Hallmark.
Other tenants at the plaza include Holiday Hair, Edward Jones, GameStop and The Shoe Department.
Nearby at the Bradford Mall, Patrick Higgins, director of development for MBC, said things are always in the works for the once-beleaguered property. He said he is hoping that some of the potential developments become a reality for the mall along East Main Street.
“However, (there is) nothing new to report at this time,” Higgins said.
In recent years, the mall has seen a resurgence of growth with the addition of ALDI, Sheetz, Taco Bell and Dunham’s Sports. Several years ago, the mall was all but dead with only three stores open around the mid-2000s.
