SMETHPORT — A Smethport woman was arrested Monday night for allegations she stabbed her boyfriend in the right arm, injuring him.
Billie Jo Conner, 40, of 614 ½ E. Main St., Smethport, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge William Todd on charges of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary.
According to the criminal complaint filed in the case, at 10:18 p.m. Monday, Smethport Borough Police were called to a domestic dispute in which a male was stabbed. Jeff Carney told police he had been arguing with Conner over a broken cell phone, and she allegedly stabbed him in the right bicep.
Court records stated that he needed medical treatment for the injury but did not indicate how severe the injury was.
A scanner report on Monday night indicated that a Priority Care Ambulance was dispatched.
Conner told police the two had been in physical and verbal arguments throughout the day before she stabbed him that evening, court records stated.
Port Allegany police assisted Smethport police.
Conner was committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, and she is scheduled to appear in Central Court on March 1.
