A Kane woman is in McKean County Jail after police allegedly found precursor chemicals for methamphetamine in her vehicle Thursday.

Amanda Nicole Fisher, 27, of Bliss Hill Road, is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture and possession of precursor chemicals, all felonies, knowingly possessing ephedrine and possessing drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors.

According to court records, on Thursday, police were contacted by a man who reported his vehicle had been stolen. State police went to the residence, and saw the vehicle that had been reported stolen. The homeowner said five minutes before police arrived, Fisher arrived in his vehicle. He told police he didn’t want to press charges.

As the trooper was leaving, he saw a state parole agent, who flagged him down. The two returned to the residence, as the agent said he was there to check on Fisher. A male was in the vehicle Fisher had been driving, and when asked by the parole agent, the man said he was also on state parole and was being supervised in Erie.

The agent searched the car and found pseudoephedrine tablets, lithium batteries, instant cold compress packets, fuel cans, salt and foil. State police called in the Pennsylvania Clandestine Laboratory Response Team to search more extensively, court records stated.

Also found was tubing, lye, coffee filters and smoking pipe, according to the criminal complaint in the case.

Fisher was interviewed by state police, and allegedly admitting to purchasing the items, but said “I’m not going to tell you who I was getting it for,” the complaint stated.

She was arraigned before District Judge David Engman and committed to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
