SMETHPORT — A Port Allegany man pleaded guilty Thursday to allegations that he sexually assaulted a young boy.
Dwayne R. Howard, 55, appeared Thursday in McKean County Court before President Judge John Pavlock to enter his plea.
Howard pleaded guilty to charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person than 13 years old.
According to Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade, on July 11, Howard had indecent contact with a 6-year-old boy.
Howard will have to register as a sex offender for his lifetime.
He remains incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. He will be sentenced March 8.
