A McKean County jury of six men and six women took just half an hour Wednesday to find Roberto Perez guilty of all counts against him.
Perez, 56, was found guilty of selling a fentanyl patch to Amber McKinney, who shared it with her boyfriend, Derek Clay, a 25-year-old Driftwood man. Clay had been found deceased of a fentanyl overdose on Oct. 14, 2016, in McKinney’s residence at 47 Rockland Ave. in Bradford.
The charges against Perez include drug delivery resulting in death, possession with intent to deliver, involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person.
The trial began Monday in McKean County Court in Smethport, with District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer prosecution and Ridgway attorney Christopher Martini as defense counsel. The case was heard by President Judge John Pavlock.
