KANE — An informational event for parents of children who are eligible for kindergarten in the 2018-2019 year, will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 in the Kane Elementary multipurpose room.
From 6 p.m. until 6:40 p.m., an information session will be given for parents, while there will be a story and activity for children.
From 6:40 p.m. until 7 p.m., a meet and greet will be available for children and parents to meet with kindergarten teachers.
Kindergarten registration in Kane will be on March 15, from 4 to 6 p.m., in Kane Area Elementary school. To be enrolled, a child must be five years old on or before Aug. 31, 2018.
Parents must bring their child’s birth certificate, record of state-required immunizations and proof of residency. Children with last names A through M will be from 4 until 5 p.m.
Children with last names N through Z will be from 5 until 6 p.m.
