The trial for Roberto Perez continues today in McKean County, with the day beginning with renowned pathologist Cyril Wecht on the stand.
Perez is accused of selling a fentanyl patch to co-defendant Amber M. McKinney, 36, who shared it with her boyfriend, 25-year-old Derek Clay. McKinney awoke on Oct. 14, 2016, to find Clay had died of a fentanyl overdose at her 47 Rockland Ave. residence.
At the trial, Wecht testified about the cause of death for Clay. Also taking the stand were Clay’s father, Scott, and Amber McKinney.
