KANE — Cameron County won its seventh in a row with a dominant 75-36 win over Kane in Friday’s non-league matchup.
“It was a good team win,” Cam County coach Mark Guido said. “Everybody had a good game.
It started on the defensive end, as Cameron County held Kane to just 12 points in the first half.
On offense, the Raiders had four players finish in double figures, as Adam Shaffer (19 points), Caden Beldin (16), Dino Brown (15), and Marcus Brown (11) all had nice games.
Chad Greville led the Wolves (6-10) with 17 points.
Cameron County (15-2) will visit Otto-Eldred on Monday.
Ridgway 55, Smethport 32
SMETHPORT — The Elkers pulled away in the second half to remain perfect on the season (17-0) with Friday’s victory over the Hubbers.
Ridgway had 10 different players score baskets, with Neil MacDonald (12 points) and Andy Breier (11) leading the way on offense.
Eric Szarowicz led Smethport with 11 points.
“Ridgway’s really freakin’ good,” Smethport coach Jay Acker said. “I thought we held our own. Going into halftime only down eight, that’s a positive for us.”
Ridgway will have to turn around for an extremely tough home matchup against Coudersport tonight. Meanwhile, Smethport’s (9-8) next game also comes against Coudy with a home date for Monday next on the Hubbers’ schedule.

Elk Catholic 81, Sheffield 33
SHEFFIELD — Elk Catholic scored 47 points in the first half alone to cruise past Sheffield on Friday night.
The Crusaders had 13 different players find the score sheet, with Brady Schneider (15 points), Alex Breindel (14), and Logan Hoffman (10) all finishing in double figures.
Cale Albaugh led Sheffield (1-16) with 11 points.
Elk Catholic (17-2) will host Brookville on Tuesday.
