The Kiwanis Club of Bradford, along with the Blaisdell Foundation, are sponsoring a Kiwanis Film Fest for families at the Main Street Movie House.
The first film, “A Troll in Central Park,” was shown on Jan. 20, and each child who attended was given a book to take home.
This Saturday, the feature will be “Shrek.”
The event will be taking place on Saturdays until the last film, “Mr. Peabody and Sherman,” on Feb. 10.
Before the beginning of the film, Lacey Love, executive director at the Bradford Area Public Library, will speak briefly to the kids in attendance.
There will also be applications for library cards available.
At the end of the film, there will be a drawing for two bicycles; one for a boy, and one for a girl.
Admission is free, however any snacks or treats must be purchased separately.
Each child must also be accompanied by an adult.
The Kiwanis Club works with the Main Street Movie House in date coordination and renting the movies.
The Blaisdell Foundation provides the funding in order for the movies to be rented, as well as purchasing the bicycles.
