EDINBORO — The Bradford High girls indoor track team saw several showings at Edinboro over the weekend.
Ashton McGriff and Regan Johnson both placed well in three different events. McGriff earned fourth in the 200 dash (26.64), sixth in the 400 (60.48), and ninth in the long jump (14’11). Meanwhile, Johnson placed seventh in the 60 dash (8.24), 12th in the 200 (27.83), and 18th in the long jump (13’11 ½).
Emily Bosworth competed in two events, finishing seventh in the 800 (2:35.48) and 22nd in the mile (6:06.87).
Also competing for Bradford were Jaden Griffen (40th in the 60, 9.17), Alexandra Safran (23rd in the 60 hurdles, 11.45), Taylar Mager (34th in the 60 hurdles, 13.26), Chloe Shaw (79.31 in the 400), Logan Sunafrank (32nd in the 800, 2:54.13), Abby Coffman (11th in the shot put, 31’2 ¼”), and Sophia Oliver (27th in the shot put, 23’2”).
“We made some progress in all our events,” BHS coach Larry Stillman said. “Ashton had an outstanding 200 race and Regan had by far her best 60 dash to make the finals. Emily had a solid 800 race and Abby threw well to qualify for our league championships.”
The Lady Owls will be off until Feb. 10 when they head back to Edinboro.
