A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly threatening a worker at a group home where he lived.
Charles Sisler, 46, of 10 Forman St., is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, summary offenses.
According to the criminal complaint, at 4:38 p.m. Monday, police were called to a report of a 6-foot, 4-inch, 250-pound man being combative and breaking objects within an Evergreen Elm group home. While police were en route to the home, McKean County Control notified them the man was “going after a staff member, threatening to kill her,” the complaint read.
Officers arrived on scene and found Sisler in an upstairs bedroom. He had blood on his hand and was telling the police he was going to kill a female caretaker at the home. He had allegedly “busted out the framing and window panels to a door when staff had attempted to deal with him,” the complaint stated.
Police were able to calm him down, and found him to have a “strong odor” of alcohol on his breath. While he was speaking to police, he repeatedly told them he was going to kill the caretaker is they left him in the residence. Police spoke to the caretaker, who had gone to another apartment to get away from him. She told police she was “very fearful of him” and was worried he would hurt her, the complaint stated.
Sisler was arraigned before on-call District Judge William Todd and remanded to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court Feb. 1.
