A Bradford woman was arrested over the weekend on allegations she took part in a crack cocaine delivery in April.
Megan Sarah Lewis, 26, of 24 Orchard Place, Apt. 305, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge William Todd on charges of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
According to court records, on April 18, the McKean County Drug Task Force was investigating the alleged sale and trafficking of crack cocaine; the investigation led to a female they knew at that time only as “Megan.”
A confidential informant called a phone number belonging to “Megan” at 11:02 a.m. April 18. Court records indicated that “Megan”allegedly talked to the confidential informant five times when arranging a crack cocaine sale, which was set to take place in the area of Elm and High streets.
At 2:16 p.m. April 18, Jennifer L. Yeager, 36, of Bradford, met the confidential informant and delivered about 1 gram of crack cocaine in exchange for $100, court records stated.
Yeager was arrested in October on the allegations.
Yeager pleaded guilty Jan. 11 to one charge of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 1.
Police later learned that “Megan” was Megan Lewis, and charges were filed, court records indicated.
Lewis was committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, and she is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday. Yeager remains in jail on $20,000 bail.
