SHEFFIELD — The Bradford High wrestling team improved to 4-2 on the season with a 42-24 victory over Sheffield on Tuesday.
Winning by pin for Bradford were Drake Hayden, Colby Keane, Derek Sunafrank, Kyle Hartman, and Hunter Gray, while Tyler Thompson and Nate Gehm both won by decision. Dillon Keane and Kholten Fuller both received forfeits for the Owls.
“The kids all wrestled well,” Bradford coach Jamie Miller said. “They were really pushing, trying different things, and getting out of their comfort zones. We’re looking forward to the postseason.”
Sheffield’s victories came from Jeffrey Riviera (forfeit), Riley Slagle (forfeit), and Justin Bailey (forfeit).
The Owls’ junior high team defeated the Wolverines 66-18. Brett Thompson, Chase Gray, and Christian Jackson won by pin. Receiving forfeits for Bradford were Lucas Laktash, Jacob Lucco, Cassius Rissmiller, Flynn Ervin, Gavin Dioguardi, Brayden Plowman, Dawson Smith, and Jacob McCaffrey.
Bradford will visit Cameron County on Thursday.
