Several Bradford Area High School students will take part in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 2 Chorus Festival from Jan. 25-27. Bradford participants are, from left, Jacob Baxter (Bass 2), Austin Reese (Tenor 2), Hannah Wilton-Ruttan (Alto 1), John Daniel Fedak (Tenor 2), Mikayla Bond (Alto 2), Gretchen Henneman (Soprano 2) and Bailey Fedak (Soprano 1). PMEA District 2 Chorus will be hosted at Meadville Area Senior High School by vocal director Molly Caprara. Almost 200 students from 45 different school districts across the PMEA District will be participating in this year’s festival. The choir will be under the direction of Major Daniel F. Toven, deputy commandant at the U.S. Army School of Music. The program will feature various genres of music: madrigal, folk, contemporary, 20th century and patriotic. A concert to display the talent of the students will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Meadville Area Senior High School auditorium.
