A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly threatening to shoot a woman in a domestic dispute.
Precious Al McBride, 40, of 13 State St., is charged with strangulation, a second-degree felony; terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
At 5:35 a.m. Friday, Bradford City police were called to McBride’s residence for a domestic dispute involving a gun. When police arrived, they viewed a man at the front of the residence looking out. The officers ordered him at gunpoint to show his hands and come outside. He did, and was detained, according to court records.
The alleged victim told police McBride “came home drunk” and they argued, at which point he “trashed the bathroom,” cut her leg and choked her until she nearly passed out. She told police McBride said he had a gun and threatened to kill her, but she did not see the weapon, court records stated.
McBride was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and remanded to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Jan. 18.
