COUDERSPORT — Coudersport’s Owen Chambers was 37 points away from reaching 1,000 for his career entering Wednesday’s game against Smethport, so you’d figure he’d need at least two more games to reach the milestone.
It seems the Coudy sharpshooter was a little impatient: Chambers scored exactly 37 points against the Hubbers to reach 1,000 career points and in the process help the Falcons to a 77-34 North Tier League victory over Smethport.
Chambers hit five 3-pointers in the game, as the Falcons made 12 long-range shots as a team to roll past the Hubbers.
Caleb Lutz led Smethport with 15 points.
Coudersport (8-1 overall, 6-0 NTL) visits Cameron County on Tuesday, while Smethport’s (6-4 overall, 4-1 NTL) next game is also against the Red Raiders at home on Friday.
