Smethport second grade students in Amy Goodman’s class have been involved in a class project to collect “plastic twist-off caps” that will be donated for free kidney dialysis treatments. For every 1,000 caps someone receives a free dialysis treatment at Rochester Hospital. Their project is for a young person in the Potter-McKean area. The 20 students collected 23,000 caps between October and Christmas. Pictured are Chloe Conn, Faith Benjamin, Ethan Walker, Olivia Rounsville, Lawson Stiles, and Amy Goodman. This project is ongoing. Caps can be turned in to Goodman’s room and also at Smethport High School.
