SMETHPORT — Greg Rounsville was re-elected president of Smethport Borough Council during Tuesday’s reorganizational meeting.
Since being elected 16 years ago, Rounsville has served on all the council’s committees and is now is in his twelfth year as president.
Councilman Ryan Yingling served as temporary president during Rounsville’s re-election before turning the meeting back to Rounsville.
Vice-President Brian Gustafson was re-elected vice-president.
Council also approved the following reappointments: Cheryl Putnam, secretary-treasurer; Erik Ross, solicitor; Barbara Peterson, LST Tax collector; Berkheimer Tax Administrator, wage tax collector; Hamlin Bank and Trust Company, depository; Sue Jordan and Mary Jo Kreiner, Tax Collection Committee delegate and alternate, respectively.
One vacancy still exists on the Zoning Hearing Board.
Council will continue to meet in public session at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, unless otherwise advertised.
Council met in an executive session for one hour nine minutes to discuss personnel matters prior to adjourning without considering any additional business.
