GALETON — The Coudersport boys did their best Golden State Warriors impression on Tuesday night, hitting 15 3-pointers en route to a 79-26 North Tier League victory over Galeton.
“Our guys defended and we hit some shots,” Coudy coach Brian Furman said. “That’s a pretty good combination.”
Leading the way for the Falcons was Owen Chambers, who hit seven 3-pointers for a game-high 27 points. Jared Green added 20 notched in the victory.
Joel Griffen led Galeton with 11 points.
Coudersport (6-1 overall, 4-0 NTL) will travel to face undefeated Ridgway on Friday in what figures to be one of the games of the year in boys basketball.
“They’re just really good,” Furman said of Ridgway. “They’re probably the elite team in the district right now. It’ll be a good test for us.”
Galeton (2-4 overall, 1-2 NTL) will visit Cameron County on Thursday.
Smethport 53, Austin 45
