Family and friends celebrated the 90th birthday of Lois Day Tuesday with a party at Chapel Ridge assisted living facility on St. Francis Drive in Bradford. She was born Dec. 26, 1927, to the late Rev. Dr. Edgar (DDS) and Isabelle Ginn in McKeesport. She graduated from South Hills High School in Pittsburgh in 1945 and worked as a teller at a bank in Pittsburgh prior to her marriage to her late husband, Robert S. Day, in 1949. She was a homemaker as well as worked part-time in nursing services at the former Bradford Hospital. She has eight children, Kenneth (Jean) Day of Reisterstown, Md., Robert Day of Olean, N.Y., Kate (Roger) Sager of Bradford, Carol (Rand) Feura of Santee, Calif., John (Tammy) Day of Bliss, N.Y., Judy (Tom) Biggins of Norwood, N.J., Tommy Day of Bradford and Laura (George) Puvel of Thurmont, Md. She also has 15 grandchildren, one late grandchild and seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
