WHITE CHRISTMAS: Will we have a white Christmas this year?
Maybe.
For all of Pennsylvania, AccuWeather is reporting a possibility of a white Christmas, which the agency defines as “having an inch or more of snow on the ground on the morning of Dec. 25.”
The chance of snow in Pennsylvania is greatest near the Great Lakes, according to AccuWeather.
The closer the day comes, the more likely a white Christmas seems.
As of Thursday night, the National Weather Service reported a good chance there will be at least some snow when Bradford wakes up Monday morning.
Rain and a high temperature of 42 degrees on Saturday may wipe out any snow we get during the workweek, snow is likely Saturday night, with the National Weather Service giving an 80-percent chance of the it.
After it cools off Saturday night, the high temperature isn’t expected to get above freezing for the next several days.
Then, there’s a 60-percent chance of snow listed for Sunday, followed by a 70-percent chance Sunday night.
The forecast for Christmas Day in Bradford includes cloudy skies, a 60-percent chance of snow showers and a high of 23 degrees. It’s supposed to drop to 9 degrees Christmas night, so make sure to bundle up if you’re going out.
