Familiar Christmas carols will be part of the Christmas Eve service on Friday at the Bradford Foursquare Gospel Church.
Jeanne Gross, event organizer, has been a part of the Carols and Candlelight Service for nearly two years but has been participating in church choirs for much longer.
“This would be my 56th year taking part in a choir,” Gross said.
For Gross, the Carols and Candlelight Service is a staple of the holiday season in Bradford.
“We try to make sure we have it a few days before Christmas every year,” Gross said. “That way they can be sent home with plenty of Christmas spirit in time for the holiday.”
The event will begin with a pre-service recital at 6:30 p.m. the pre-service will include Josh Isaman, Pastor Janie McDonald, the Hooten Family, Craig Lineman, Kathy Reed and Gross.
The Carols and Candlelight Service will begin at 7 p.m. and will be led by Pastor Janie McDonald & Pastor Matthew McDonald.
The event is free and open to the public. Gross is looking for anyone interested in participating in the pre-service recital. If interested, contact Gross at 598-3053.
