COUDERSPORT — A New Jersey man is facing charges of child endangerment and DUI after an alleged incident in November in Potter County.
According to Coudersport-based state police, police performed a traffic Scott Adrian Tester, 45, of North Cape May, N.J., at 6:23 p.m. Nov. 25 on U.S. Route 6 in Sweden Township. Police determined Tester was impaired by alcohol while he was operating a vehicle with two juvenile passengers: a 15-year-old male and an 11-year-old female.
Tester was transported to Cole Memorial Hospital for a blood draw, police said.
On Monday, state police filed the following charges against Tester at the office of District Judge Annette Easton: two counts of endangering the welfare of children, both first-degree misdemeanors; two counts of DUI, both misdemeanors; and the following summary charges: failure to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages, court records stated.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 16.
