Fire destroyed a two-story garage at 10 Hall Road in Foster Township on Thursday afternoon.
About 40 firefighters from across Pennsylvania and New York state battled the blaze for about three-and-a-half hours in the frigid temperatures, reported Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jim Kelley.
Derrick City volunteers were dispatched to the scene at 3:46 p.m. and found flames coming from the front of the building. Frozen hydrants prompted firefighters to bring in tankers from Eldred Borough, Otto Township, Rew and Town of Olean, N.Y., and Knapp Creek, N.Y.
Other firefighters responding included Bradford Township and Limestone, N.Y.
No one was injured in the fire, Kelley said.
The fire remains under investigation, and the fire marshall is expected to be on scene this morning. The garage, owned by James Heckel, contained an office, tools and other items, according to Kelley.
