An Eldred man was arrested Monday night on allegations he assaulted a woman and threatened to have her children killed.
Mayhlon Robert Troutman, 40, of 2015 Prentisvale Road, was arraigned Monday night before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary charge.
According to court records, a woman was at Troutman’s residence at 2:30 p.m. Monday, and Troutman and the woman were arguing. Troutman allegedly came at her after throwing furniture around, and she kicked him in the testicles. Troutman then punched her as she was sitting in a chair, causing a small cut with bruising beside her left eye, court records alleged.
Troutman allegedly told the woman her three children were dead, saying he wouldn’t be around but he’d have someone do it. He told her, “I will have your children killed by Christmas,” court records stated.
He was released on $25,000 bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Dec. 21.
