ERIE — A blood drive will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 20 in the banquet room at the Port Allegany fire department.
The Community Blood Bank is holding the drive, which is open to the community and all donors will receive a chocolate holiday treat. Eligible donors should be healthy, over 110 pounds, and be at least 17 years of age or 16 with a parental consent. In addition, a 56-day time period is required from previous donations. Appointments are not necessary, but can be made if preferred.
Donors are encouraged to eat a nutritious meal within approximately four hours prior to the drive. Free snacks and beverages to replenish a donor’s energy will be available following a donation.
