PITTSBURGH — Gas prices in Western Pennsylvania dropped by two cents this week to an average of $2.806 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
On the week, gas prices are mostly cheaper or unchanged at pumps across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. The latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) report shows the region had the largest build of gasoline inventory in the country on the week with 2.6 million barrels added. Totaling at 56 million, this is the largest inventory build and level for the region since late October.
The average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in Bradford is $2.800; in Altoona, $2.778; in Brookville, $2.791; in Erie, $2.779.
At $2.48, the national gas price average is at the cheapest price since early November. More so, pump prices nationally have been steadily dropping during the last two weeks.
