A Bradford man was remanded to McKean County Jail following arraignment on burglary charges Thursday.
Shawn Michael Howard, 43, of 24 Orchard Place Apt. 206, is charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking, second-degree felonies, and criminal trespass, a third-degree felony.
According to court records, in July, a neighbor witnessed Howard leaving a garage in Cyclone carrying a cut-off saw and a magnetic drill. The neighbor approached him, and Howard said he worked for the man who lived there and was helping him with a job.
The neighbor got the license plate number of the car, and gave the information to the garage owner when he came home. The owner searched the garage and saw that $6,245 worth of equipment had been taken, the criminal complaint alleged.
The car was traced back to Howard, police allege.
Howard was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court Dec. 7.
